MOULTON INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT

MOULTON ISD NOTIFICATION OF CONFIRMED COVID-19 CASE ON CAMPUS

January 14, 2021

Dear Parent/Guardian,

In keeping with Moulton ISD’s practices to respond to COVID-19, we are notifying all student families that a student who has tested positive for COVID-19 was present on the campus of Moulton Jr./Sr. High as of January 11th. Due to privacy requirements, we will not be releasing the name of the individual or details that may identify him or her.

Staff members and parents of students who had close contact with the confirmed case will be notified. Moulton ISD is sanitizing all areas that the covid confirmed person would have had the opportunity to visit. Currently we are disinfecting all classrooms, locker rooms and restrooms daily. All staff members have been asked to follow safety protocols to protect the health and safety of everyone at school.

While we do not have reason to believe that those who were not in close contact with the infected individual have reason to be concerned, we ask that you, as always, watch for symptoms of COVID-19. A list of symptoms that indicate a possible COVID-19 infection are listed at the bottom of this letter.

If you or any member of the Moulton ISD community does begin experiencing any of these symptoms in a way that is not typical, we encourage you to contact your physician. We encourage anyone in the Moulton ISD community who is confirmed to have COVID-19 to please notify our school by contacting Deborah Rother at 361-596-4016.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Deborah Rother @ 361-596-4016 or visit our website at moultonisd.net.

Sincerely,

Chris Ulcak

Superintendent
