Moulton ISD Counselor's Corner

My name is Tara Downs. I am the counselor for Moulton Independent School District. I received my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Houston-Victoria, and I am currently working on my M.Ed. in Counseling at UHV as well. I taught Pre-K at Gonzales ISD and first grade here in Moulton before I became the counselor.
My Mission as a School Counselor
My mission as a counselor is to help each student positively develop academically, socially, and personally. Their overall success in and after public school is of utmost importance to me. Through developmentally appropriate guidance curriculum, preparation for post-secondary endeavors, individual and group counseling, intervention services, and close collaboration with teachers, principals, parents, and community, I seek to help each student become a successful member of society.
