Early Childhood Screening

Moulton Elementary School will hold Early Childhood Screening for Moulton I.S.D. on Tuesday, April 28th.  The screening will be for children ages three through four years of age by Sept. 1, 2015.

In connection with this screening will be an Early Childhood Screening conducted by representatives from the Region III Service Center in Victoria.  This screening is for children below the age of three.

The purpose of the screening is to measure a child’s developmental level and to determine if learning disabilities may exist.  Early Childhood Intervention programs serve children with developmental delays and their families.  These children need additional help or special experiences before he or she enters school.  Children may receive services from an ECI program if they have a significant developmental delay in one or more of the following areas: learning, movement, ability to talk, ability to understand and get along with others.  Children who are determined to have atypical development or medical conditions that are known to lead to developmental delay are also eligible.  Eligibility is determined through screening or team assessment by program staff.  Please call Moulton Elementary at 596-4016 to schedule an appointment if you wish to have your child screened.
