Moulton ISD Campuses are Recognized by the TEA and the USDE as "2013-2014 High Performing Reward Schools"!!

June 29, 2014

The Texas Education Agency has identified both of the Moulton ISD campuses as "2013-2014 High Performing Reward Schools".  This is a new recognition for 2013-2014.  A high performing reward school is identified as a Title I school with distinctions based on reading and math  performance.  In addition, at the high school level, a reward school is a Title I school with the highest graduation rates.  A Title I school is identified by having high concentrations of students from low-income families.

There are only 3 other campuses in our region that achieved this "2013-2014 High Performing Reward School" recognition. Besides Moulton Elementary School and Moulton High School in MISD, the other Region 3 campuses included Goliad Middle School, Shiner High School and Vickers Elementary in Victoria. Moulton ISD is the only district with both elementary and secondary on the list in Region 3!! Principals, Darren Mikulik and Jamie Dornak did a fantastic job leading their teams, as there are only 231 campuses in the state on the list.  Out of 8,317 public school campuses - this is a very big deal!  This reflects the great accomplishments of the students, staff and local stakeholders for the success of all students in MISD!!  We are very proud of the results that were achieved by all during the 2013-14 school year and we will be posting campus banners in celebration of this statewide recognition!!
