The following scholarships are avaliable to seniors. Please apply early! Also, please join Mrs. Ressler's senior scholarship Remind group- I will send all scholarship information directly to you through Remind. If you would like to be added, email me at mressler@moultonisd.net   Paper copies of scholarship applications can be picked up in my office.


Down Syndrom Foundation of South Texas Scholarship- deadline 3/4/16

The DSFSTX sponsors three scholarships for graduating high school seniors to support and give back to communities that have supported their organization. Special consideration will ge given to family members of individuals with special needs and individuals who plan to pursue a career in medicine, physical therapy, speech therapy, occupational therapy, teaching, special education, and like fields.


Texas Farm Credit Scholarship- deadline 3/1/16

Seniors who will pursue a degree in an agriculture related field may apply for the Texas Farm Credit scholarship- five $2,000 scholarships will be awarded. Please pick up an application in the counselors office.


Navidad Valley Cattle Women Scholarship- deadline 3/16/16

Last year five $1,000 scholarships were given to students at five different high schools in our 3 county area.  Students may access the rules and application at http://www.nvcw.org/scholarships.html.  We look not only for 4 year college scholars, but also students that might be attending a junior college or a trade school.  We do not require that students major in Ag, but we do look to both student's and family's current and future involvement in beef and agricultural. 


Texas Interscholastic League Foundation Scholarship- deadline 5/27/16

This scholarship is for students who have participated in UIL Academics. One requirement is that you have participated in the UIL Academic State Meet at least once in high school and that you plan to attend a Texas college or University. Applications accepted through the TILF website http://www.tilffoundation.org  between March 1, 2016 and May 27, 2016. 


John Trott Memorial Scholarship- deadline 3/10/16

The John Trott Memorail Scholarship is for students attending Texas A&M University and Majoring in Education. Please pick up a copy in the Counselor's office.


Baylor University, Waco Tx.

Baylor University annually award scholarship through the Carr P. Collins Scholars Program to students who have demonstrated leadership through service. Collins Scholars are awarded a minimum of $5,000 their freshmen year, renewable for three additional years. To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must meet all the university requirements for unconditional admission, have a minimum combined critical reading and math score of 1250 on the SAT, or a minimum of 28 on the ACT along with having a balanced college preparatory high school program, including a foreign language. Ronald McDonald House U.S. Scholarships- deadline January 20, 2016

The Ronald McDonald house scholarship program seeks to invest in students who are exemplary role models in their community and have the initiative to fulfill their educational goals. For information and application visit http://www.rmhc.org/rmhc-us-scholarships


Texas Engineering Foundation Scholarship- deadline January 8, 2016

Scholarships are awarded to students studying to become engineers in an engineering program at an ABET-accredited college or university. Please pick up an application in the Counselor's office.


Vietnam Veterans of America- Lone Star Chapter #854 Scholarship- deadline March 31, 2016

Pick up a copy of the application in the Counselor's office.


Texas Medical Association- Young Physician Section- Dr. Michael O'Malley Memorial Scholarship- deadline January 15, 2016

A scholarship for those planning to enter the medical field- pick-up a copy in the Counselor's office.


Catholic Life Insurance Scholarship- deadline March 1, 2016

If a student is a Catholic Life Insurance member they are eligible for this scholarship. Scholarship amounts of $1,000 are awarded to deserving students based on scholastic achievement, demonstration of leadership qualities and community service.
