September 11th Tribute

September 11th has gone down in history as a day of tragedy and a day of coming together for the people of New York City, as well as all U.S. citizens.  This year the Student Counsel planned and executed a fitting and honorary program for the whole student body.  The program began with two 6th grade students raising the United States and Texas flag in complete silence.  Tais Gomez, Student Council President, briefly explained the background story and introduced her fellow Student Council members.  Trevor Freytag led the group in saying the Pledge of Allegiance. Jaycee Low provided a lovely invocation asking for peace for the families affect by the tragedy.  Angelina Guzman gave a summary of the things that happened on this day in history.  Katelyn Buehring recited a poem of commemoration, followed by Hannah Siegel with the benediction.  Moulton I.S.D. students demonstrated their national pride and honored both those fallen and those that mourn their passing.
