At MISD, basketball has always had the best of the best as a result of hard work on the part of our students and coaches! This year was no exception. Katz ended their season with a District win, and the Kittens clenched the Bi-District title! Way to go, Katz and Kittens!
The District 30 1A Basketball All District Selections for the 2024-2025 season has recently been released. Landon Chaloupka(23) took Most Valuable Player, and Seth Beyer(20) snagged the Co-Defensive Player of the Year title. Best Newcomer went to Greyson Anderle(25).
Making the All District First Team were Jaxon Bartos(30) and Hunter Anderle(24). Included on the All District Second Team were Kenton Kirkland(5) and Alex Trevino(32).
The Most Valuable Player was earned by Addison Simper(14) and CO-Offensive Player of the Year went to Audrey Swinford(44).
Making All District First Teams were Karsyn Blahuta(3), Araceli Vazquez(20), and Taylor Self(10). Joining the All District Second Team were Reese Nieto(32), Lilliana Gomez(10), Madison Rothbauer(21), and Valeria Pinedo(11).
Coaches are Craig Barta, Cody Broussard, John Meisetschleager, and Ty Ramos.
